Designed by the futurist architect Quirino De Giorgio (Palmanova, 1907 – Abano Terme 1997) and inaugurated after World War II, the Altino Cinema represents one of the most significant examples of performing arts architecture in the Veneto region. Closed since 2006,
the historic modernist building will be restored and transformed into a center dedicated to art, cinema, and contemporary culture, housing the Carraro Foundation. The following photographs document the two-day special opening of the building to the public, featuring the installation "Afterglow" by Atej Tutta, before the restoration work began.
